Charles Carson

Master in fine arts, Charles Carson has adopted two distinct and complimentary approaches.

Carsonism mouvement refers to the artist’s technique built around the application of inviolable sequences of colour to instill life in his subject matter: Swathes of colour constructed with lightly oblique touches sweep across the canvas with constant, regular movement, juxtaposed in subtle transparency or jostling together like waves in water.

The artist’s mosaic technique is based on the fragmentation of form and surface: In applying a unique mosaic effect to his painting, Carson brings the surface to life, imbuing it with new energy, creating a strongly evocative universe.
